Updated June 8, 2020:  due to the global business challenges caused by COVID-19 we have decided to postpone the v6 End-of-Life date to September 2020 to give you more time to transition to v7. 

On January 14, 2020, Microsoft placed Windows 7 in End-of-Life, ending support and no longer providing security updates.  This means that Windows 7 computers are more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Microsoft’s recommendation is to upgrade to Windows 10.

Legrand CRM v6.x and earlier versions were developed using programming technology that dates back to the late 90’s.  That technology was discontinued by Microsoft in 2015.  Legrand CRM v5, v6 and v6.5 worked fine on Windows 7 but have been superseded by changes in Windows 10 and programming technologies.  The useful life of v6.5 (and earlier versions) will effectively end on September 30, 2020.

On that day we will be decommissioning the cloud licensing server which periodically validates the v6.5, v6 and v5 licences .  Typically this licence validation occurs silently once per month.  What this means is that Legrand CRM v6.5 and earlier versions will stop working sometime after September 30, 2020.

If you are still using v6.5, v6 or older versions you will need to upgrade to Legrand desktop CRM v7 or to our Cloud CRM product by September  30, 2020
